The mission of the Springfield Academy of Excellence (SAE) is to provide education in a nurturing environment that focuses on the development of the whole child. Emphasis is placed on academic achievement as well as physical, psychological, social, and ethical development.

Since 2001, Springfield Academy of Excellence is a Comer School that has been diligently working to develop the whole child. We have continuously refined our processes, scrutinized student and staff data, and developed our working model of research-based best practices. Our parents have a true voice through the parent representative who is a voting member of our governing board. Springfield Academy of Excellence is a year round public school that has free tuition, state certified teachers, small class sizes, accelerated reading program, free breakfast and lunch program. The curriculum is aligned with the State standards. We also offer enrichment courses, field trips, physical education, performing arts and partners with Forging Responsible Youth’s 21st Century before and after school tutoring and activity program.
